How To Look Good This Summer On A Budget

With the current economic crisis still hitting most people hard, My Tennis Fashion have put together a range of clothing that will make you look like tennis royalty without breaking the bank.

As it is grass court season on the tennis circuit and the Wimbledon Championship is just around the corner we thought we would give you some excellent options for the classic all-white tennis clothing. There are lots of offers out there, but sometimes it is hard to find the best deals in the stores. Our tip is to surf the web for the best deals. Here is a small pick of excellent offers for the tennis lover.

    Women’s Clothing

Adidas have some very elegant dresses and skirts for the summer tennis player.  The first of our picks is the white Adidas  Edge Tennis Dress with a mauve tint. This comes from Adidas’s Wimbledon 08’ collection, but with its classic look it is still a favourite on the court in 2009.

    $37.49 from Pro-Direct Tennis

If a skirt and polo combo is more your style, then why not try the Adidas Edge skirt and polo top. This all white outfit looks fresh and stylish and comes at a very affordable price.

    $34.49 from Pro-Direct Tennis

Nike also do some great classic white clothing that will look great on the court this summer. Nike’s White Athlete Skirt is aimed at club and competitive players to ensure a dry-fit and also to enhance performance whilst still looking elegant in white.

    $29.99 from Pro-Direct Tennis

For tops to go with the Nike Athlete skirt we suggest looking at either the Nike Maria Tank with floral pattern or the plain white Nike Maria Demo Support Tank, both of which also features the dri-fit technology.

    $29.99 from Pro-Direct Tennis

    Fashion ambassador?

Federer the true tennis fashion ambassador.

With 13 Grand Slam singles titles to his name, Roger Federer is widely regarded as one of the best tennis players in the history of the game. Now with his on-court legacy firmly established, this classically handsome Swiss sportsman is gaining prominence for a less athletic pursuit—fashion.

The history of men’s tennis fashion has rarely been avant garde, with a few notable exceptions from trendsetters like Björn Borg and Andre Agassi. While the link between ladies tennis and fashion is as old as Coco Chanel, the men have often favored the staid, preppy look.

Roger Federer, however, has taken classic men’s tennis fashion to another, more refined level. Preppy? Yes. Staid? Decidedly not. Rather Federer’s fashion sense tends more towards gentlemanly chic with a touch of panache. Think Hamptons lawn party meets James Bond without the bow-tie. Case in point—he strolled onto the grass at Wimbledon in a white blazer/trouser ensemble one year and a cream monogrammed cardigan the next.

But Federer isn’t the only men’s tennis champ with an eye for fashion, Rafael Nadal, the current No. 1 men’s tennis player, has injected his own unique style into tennis couture. The now infamous “pirate” look characterized by tight-tight near capris and sleeveless shirts has ruffled quite a few feathers among tennis purists and offers a stark contrast to Federer’s timeless look.

But even Nadal’s one-off style cannot eclipse the voguish Federer as the true tennis fashion ambassador. After all, one of his biggest champions is the illustrious Anna Wintour herself, editor of U.S. Vogue. Both on the court and off, Federer’s classic style echoes his classic good looks and confident facade. Wicked  Rog!!
